Questions & answers

Everything people usually ask before booking. Still wondering? Call or text us.

How much does headlight restoration cost?

$99 for both headlights, or $139 for headlights and taillights together. Both include a UV-protective clear coat and a 1-year warranty against yellowing. There is no travel fee inside our service area.

Do you really come to me?

Yes. We are fully mobile. We work in your driveway, garage, office lot or wherever the car is parked, as long as there is room to work around the front of the car.

How long does it take?

About 30 to 60 minutes for headlights, a little longer if taillights are included.

How long will my headlights stay clear?

Usually one to three years, depending on sun exposure and whether the car is garaged. Every restoration is covered by a 1-year warranty against yellowing.

Is restoration worth it compared with new headlights?

If the haze is on the outside of the lens, yes. New assemblies often cost hundreds of dollars per side. If there is moisture or damage inside the headlight, replacement is the right fix, and we will tell you so.

Can I drive right away?

Yes. Please skip automatic car washes for about a week while the clear coat fully cures.

What if it rains?

The coating needs a dry surface. We can work in a garage if there is room, or reschedule to the next dry day at no charge.

Which areas do you serve?

Geist and about 20 miles around it, including Fishers, Carmel, Noblesville, Westfield, Lawrence, Fortville, McCordsville and the north and northeast side of Indianapolis.

How do I pay?

Cash, card, Venmo or Zelle. You pay after the work is done and you have seen the result.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured.

Will my headlights be brighter after restoration?

More of the light gets through. The bulbs stay the same, but the haze that was scattering their light is gone, so more of it goes down the road. Restoration will not fix old bulbs or headlights that are aimed wrong.

Is headlight restoration permanent?

No. Any plastic lens yellows again in the sun over time. The UV-cured clear coat slows that down, and our work usually lasts one to three years depending on sun and whether the car is garaged. Every job has a 1-year warranty against yellowing.

Can headlights be restored without sanding?

Only very light haze. Polishes, wipes and sprays can brighten the surface for a while, but yellowing is a damaged layer of plastic and has to be sanded off. We machine sand that layer, then seal the lens with a UV-cured clear coat.

What if the fog is inside the headlight?

Restoration cannot reach it. We work on the outside of the lens. Moisture or fog inside the housing usually means a seal has failed, and the fix is a new headlight. Text us a photo and we will tell you which one you have.
