Why headlights turn yellow
It's not dirt. It's sun damage.
Headlight lenses are polycarbonate plastic with a thin factory UV coating. Indiana summers, road salt and car washes wear that coating away, and the plastic underneath starts to oxidize. That is the yellow, chalky haze.
Cleaning won't fix it. The damaged layer has to come off, the lens has to be brought back to clear, and it needs a new UV coating, or the haze comes right back.

If the haze is on the outside of the lens, restoration gets you clear headlights for far less than new ones, and without giving up an afternoon to a kit.

How much does headlight restoration cost?
$99 for both headlights, or $139 for headlights and taillights together. Both include a UV-protective clear coat and a 1-year warranty against yellowing. There is no travel fee inside our service area.
Do you really come to me?
Yes. We are fully mobile. We work in your driveway, garage, office lot or wherever the car is parked, as long as there is room to work around the front of the car.
How long does it take?
About 30 to 60 minutes for headlights, a little longer if taillights are included.
How long will my headlights stay clear?
Usually one to three years, depending on sun exposure and whether the car is garaged. Every restoration is covered by a 1-year warranty against yellowing.
Is restoration worth it compared with new headlights?
If the haze is on the outside of the lens, yes. New assemblies often cost hundreds of dollars per side. If there is moisture or damage inside the headlight, replacement is the right fix, and we will tell you so.
Can I drive right away?
Yes. Please skip automatic car washes for about a week while the clear coat fully cures.
